Title: 100 Simple Secrets of Successful People: What
Scientists Have Learned and How You Can Use It.
Author: George Niven, PhD
Stars: ***

100 Secrets. That's a lot of secrets! 10 would have been a lot easier to
handle. Just goes to show, there's more than one way to skin a cat!

Each secret takes up a page or two and is easily digested. The secret is
explained and a real world example of someone exhibiting the trait or
demonstrating the skill is provided. At the end of each secret the
supporting scientific research is mentioned and cited so additional study
can be done if desired.

Although many of the secrets are not necessarily secrets (e.g. Exercise
and Eat Right, Own What You Do, If You Doubt, You're Out, Learn from
Losses), they are fairly simple, as the title suggests. This is not to imply
that they are easy. There is nothing easy about the examples just
mentioned, for instance.

The Secrets are practical, and they are good reminders. Although it's
tempting to just roll through the contents, it's in the reader's best interest to
take it slowly and reflect upon each topic to maximize the impact. If
success is truly the goal, frequent revisiting of the text and acting on the
information is key.
